The Ritron RadioModem(TM) Offers Ultra-Narrow Band 6.25 kHz Operation and Extended Range

Carmel, Indiana - The DTXM RadioModem is a high performance Wireless Modem designed to operate on the licensed land mobile frequency bands at VHF, UHF and 220 MHz. These transceivers use the same robust RF circuitry as the time and field-proven DTX Plus transceivers. "The DTXM RadioModem offers extended range performance in a very small footprint. "It's ideal for a variety of uses, including remote telemetry, SCADA applications in the water/wastewater, electric, oil & gas industries, robotics and vehicle tracking" stated Steve Rice, President of Ritron, Inc.

The RadioModem supports over-the-air digital data rates of 19,200 bps in a 25 kHz channel, 9600 bps in a 12.5 kHz channel and 4800 bps on the new ultra narrow band 6.25 kHz channels. In addition to offering data communications via a serial RS-232 interface, the DTXM RadioModem also supports analog communications in the 12.5 kHz and 25 kHz channel bandwidth versions. This allows for easy testing of a radio link with voice before connecting to data systems. Electronic settings, adjustments and high or low output power are all PC programmable.

High specifications permit integration into systems demanding the utmost performance in congested frequency environments. The DTXM RadioModem is the same size as the DTX Plus transceiver, measuring only 3.6" L x 2.3" W x 1.0" H.

Direct modulation with low distortion plus low group delay result in a low bit-error rate (BER) for enhanced system integrity and reliability. The DTXM RadioModem retains the same Swift Lock(TM) synthesizer loading algorithm of the DTX Plus for transmit and receive attack times of 15 ms or less for high-speed data throughput. Controlled Envelope(TM) keying reduces adjacent channel "keyclicks" resulting in spectrum-friendly operation.

Capable of 6.25 kHz, 12.5 kHz and 25 kHz spacing operation, the DTXM RadioModem can be installed in systems where re-farming compliant narrow band and new ultra-narrow band frequencies have been assigned. Individual custom frequency ranges are available.

The Ritron DTXM RadioModem is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA.
