Crestron Freespeech(TM) Wireless Microphone System Gives K-12 Teachers the Freedom to Be Heard

FreeSpeech(TM) Provides a Budget-Friendly Hands-Free Microphone System for K-12 Classrooms; Makes Classroom Instruction Interactive, Fun and Engaging

Orlando, FL - At InfoComm Booth #3001, Crestron today announced the release of FreeSpeech(TM), a budget-friendly wireless microphone system that enables teachers to move about the classroom and be heard clearly from anywhere in the room. Smartly designed for K-12 classrooms, FreeSpeech provides a simple, affordable and easy-to-install solution for adding amplified speech audio reinforcement as part of a complete classroom media presentation system. With FreeSpeech, the teaching and learning experience is more fun, engaging and effective than ever before.

"FreeSpeech helps teachers create a fun, engaging learning experience immediately, at a cost that doesn't burden today's tightening school budgets," says Crestron Director of Marketing, Vincent Bruno. "Installation is quick and simple so you can have any classroom up and running the same day."

Compact and lightweight, the hands-free microphone can be clipped to a lapel, hung around the neck, or placed in a tabletop stand for reliable, hassle-free operation. Simply press the ON button and begin your lesson or presentation.

The built-in 30-watt stereo amplifier provides everything needed to drive a set of speakers, and also allows for the connection of a DVD player, computer, or other audio sources. Independent volume buttons are built into the microphone for conveniently adjusting speech and sources volume levels.

Exclusive RF/IR wireless technology ensures consistent performance with complete freedom of movement while minimizing noise or feedback. The infrared "beacon" signal prevents interference between rooms, and even shuts the mic off automatically if the instructor leaves the room.

FreeSpeech is available with a choice of one of two microphones. The FreeSpeech Dual Channel package enables cool interactive classroom experiences with two instructors, a teacher and a guest speaker, or using one microphone to pass around to students for responding to teachers' questions.

The long life rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery provides six hours of usage to last a full school day. Recharging for up to two FreeSpeech microphones is handled by the included docking station.

FreeSpeech connects seamlessly with any Crestron Quick Packs Classroom AV package to provide a complete classroom presentation system on any budget. Equipping any room with everything needed to install and control a ceiling mount projector, a variety of multimedia inputs, high-performance surface-mount speakers and a stereo amplifier is simple, fast, and affordable.
