Designed for corrosion monitoring systems, Microcor Wireless Extender expands mesh networks when outlying wireless devices exceed range of mesh formed by other nodes and gateway. Unit integrates with wireless devices using WirelessHART 7 protocol and can be configured using Wireless Tools Software or Checkmate DL-W Wireless Configurator. Operating from -40 to 70°C, extender is Certified for Class I/Zone 1 hazardous locations, enabling power module to be changed without removing WE from field.

New Wireless Extender Increases Wireless Coverage by 1000Ft (300m) for Wireless Corrosion Monitoring System.
The Microcor Wireless Extender (WE) for wireless corrosion monitoring systems offers a cost-effective way to expand mesh networks when outlying wireless devices exceed the range of the mesh formed by other nodes and the gateway. The WE integrates seamlessly with other Rohrback Cosasco and Emerson wireless devices using WirelessHART 7 protocol, and can be setup and configured using Rohrback Cosasco's Wireless Tools Software or the Checkmate DL-W Wireless Configurator. Certification for Class I/Zone 1 hazardous locations enables users to change power modules without the need to remove the WE from the field. The power module has a typical life of three years. The typical wireless range is 300 m (1000 ft) with a clear line of sight from transmitter to transmitter, or from transmitter to gateway, with up to three "hops" permitted from the originating node to the gateway. The WE will operate in temperatures from -40°C to 70°C.
