Platinum Clad Wire and Ribbon Suitable for Applications Up To 1250°C

Custom engineered platinum clad wire and ribbon that provides high thermal- and corrosion resistance for a fraction of the cost of solid platinum products is available from Anomet Products, Inc. of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Anomet Platinum Clad Wire and Ribbon features platinum cladding thicknesses from 2% or more and can be manufactured with core materials such as iron-nickel or molybdenum for applications up to 1250°C; titanium, tantalum and niobium for biocompatibility and corrosion resistance; and stainless steel and nickel for a combination of high strength with corrosion resistance.

Functionally equivalent to solid platinum, Anomet Platinum Clad Wire and Ribbon is metallurgically bonded to a core material and can be supplied as wire from 0.05 mm to 10 mm O.D. and up to 25 mm wide as ribbon.
