Sirenza Microdevices Announces Series of E-Mode pHEMT Wideband Amplifiers for Microwave Applications

BROOMFIELD, Colo., July 26 // -- Sirenza Microdevices (NASDAQ:SMDI) today announced the production release of the company's SUF series of E-Mode pHEMT wideband amplifiers for microwave applications. The SUF series employs Sirenza's patented self-biasing network and broadband matching for ease of use; the series of amplifiers operates directly off of a single +3.3V or +5.0V supply voltage.

The SUF family of microwave MMIC Darlington amplifiers provides an excellent alternative to distributed amplifiers for applications requiring frequencies extending through X and Ku bands. This series utilizes Sirenza's patented self-biasing network which provides excellent gain consistency over a wide temperature range.

"The SUF series of microwave amplifiers extends Sirenza's MMIC IC design expertise into the X and Ku frequency," stated Tom Kole, strategic business unit director for aerospace, defense and homeland security products. "With its single voltage supply, broadband 50ohm match and temperature compensated gain performance, the SUF series is an excellent choice for microwave multi-chip module or hybrid applications in the test equipment, point-to-point radio, aerospace and defense and homeland security end markets."

Product Performance Summary
SUF-1000, DC-20GHz, 10dB of gain, 14dBm P1dB, at 5V, 45mA
