Enabling addition of Internet connectivity to any MCU-based device, Type VK module (part No. LBWA1ZZVK7-539) is based on SimpleLink(TM) Wi-Fi CC3000 self-contained 802.11 network processor chipset from Texas Instruments. Architecture allows Wi-Fi driver and firmware to reside within module memory, alleviating software effort and high-level operating system requirements. Self-contained 802.11 Wi-Fi® module measures 16.5 x 11.5 x 2.2 mm.

Murata Announces Type VK Module Availablity Through Distribution Partners
Broad-Market Solution Based on CC3000 Chipset Product from Texas Instuments
PLANO, TX - Murata today announced the availability of the Type VK module, a self-contained 802.11 Wi-Fi® module for low cost microcontroller-based devices, through its distribution partners. The product is a member of the Murata broad-market family of wireless modules that offers the latest wireless technology to the mass market.
The Type VK module is based on the SimpleLink(TM) Wi-Fi CC3000 chipset from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI). The SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000 is an easy-to-implement, self-contained 802.11 network processor aimed at enabling the simple and quick addition of Internet connectivity to any microcontroller based product. TI's unique architecture allows the Wi-Fi driver and firmware to reside within the module memory, alleviating the need for an extensive software effort or high-level operating system.
