October 1, 2007 - Suited for use in mash seam welding applications, 2 high-power WeldVerter(TM) Power Supplies feature WeldComputer® Adaptive Weld Controls. Each inverter can deliver up to 800 A continuous welding current at 1 kHz frequency and is able to operate in current, voltage, and power feedback modes. Monitoring all key welding parameters, system detects variations in process that could negatively affect weld quality and takes preprogrammed action to accommodate out-of-limits condition.

WeldComputer Corporation Delivers High-Power Welding Inverters

WeldComputer Corporation recently delivered two high-power WeldVerter(TM) Power Supplies with WeldComputer® Adaptive Weld Controls for use in a mash seam welding application. Each inverter is capable of delivering up to 800A of continuous welding current at 1kHz frequency. In addition to being able to operate in current, voltage and power feedback modes, the system is able to monitor all key welding parameters, detect variations in the process that could be injurious to weld quality, and take preprogrammed action to accommodate the out-of-limits condition.

The implementation of adaptive welding control, which was pioneered by WeldComputer Corporation more than twenty years ago, results in nearly defect-free welding in most applications and can be used to eliminate or reduce less-effective destructive weld testing.

WeldComputer Corporation can supply complete inverter welding systems - conventional DC or with waveform synthesis technology - or can provide an interface kit for existing inverters. Installation support, training, and resistance welding consulting services are also available. Standard welding controls are available as are high-performance WeldComputer® Adaptive Controls for more demanding applications.

WeldComputer Corporation is a manufacturer of advanced adaptive and conventional controls and monitors used to achieve resistance weld consistency and eliminate destructive testing.
