Miller Introduces Arc Armor(TM) Heat Stress Protection Category with Two Welding Helmet Accessories Exclusive to Miller Helmets

Arc Armor heat stress protection products reduce heat fatigue to optimize welder comfort, productivity, quality and safety.

Highlights/Key Facts:
  • The CoolBand(TM) is an integrated headgear cooling system that reduces temperature under the hood by up to 8°F.
  • The CoolBelt(TM) is a belt-mounted cooling system which provides maximum air-flow performance to keep the welder going strong all day, reducing temperatures under the hood by up to 17° F.

APPLETON, Wis.-Miller Electric Mfg. Co. today extended its Arc Armor(TM) line of welding protection products with the release of two new welding helmet cooling accessories designed to reduce heat stress, leading to increased operator comfort, productivity, weld quality and safety.

The two new Arc Armor Heat Stress accessories include:

  • The CoolBand(TM) is an integrated headgear cooling system that fits exclusively into most Miller Arc Armor Helmets, it provides up to six hours of continuous cooling on one battery charge. Downward and upward air vents provide constant air movement over the entire users face and head, removing stagnant air and decreasing lens fog.

  • The CoolBelt(TM) is a lightweight, belt-mounted cooling system that integrates into most Miller welding helmets. Designed for extreme industrial environments, the CoolBelt offers multiple air speeds with directional air controls to provide air movement over the users face and head. The CoolBelt can lower temperature under the hood up to 17° F while also removing stagnant air and decreasing lens fog. A rechargeable battery pack provides up to five hours of battery life, and extra battery packs are available.

The Arc Armor(TM) Heat Stress Protection category is the latest addition to Miller's growing line of Arc Armor welding protection products. This addition complements Miller's extensive portfolio of welding safety products within the following categories: Head & Face, Hand & Body, Respiratory and Heat Stress Protection.
