Utilizing non-chemical sensor technology, PurgEye(TM) 500 measures oxygen levels down to 10 ppm. Alarm facility can be set to activate if oxygen levels around weld exceed desired value and in association with alarm, can shut welding machines off and on again as gas levels raise and lower. With PurgeLog(TM) software, operators can store and print data for quality control purposes so that each weld can be supported with relevant document showing weld purge integrity.

Official Launch of PurgEye(TM) 500 Weld Purge Monitor
The PurgEye(TM) 500 uses a non chemical sensor technology that measures oxygen levels down to 10 parts per million but yet is only a fraction of the cost of more expensive instruments designed to do the same work.
A special pump is fitted inside the PurgEye(TM) 500 housing, to extract samples of exhaust gas as required, for checking the quality of the Weld Purge Gas around the weld root.
This instrument has an alarm facility that can be set to activate if oxygen levels around the weld exceed a desired value and in association with the alarm, can shut welding machines off and on again as those gas levels raise and lower, to ensure a perfect purge at all times.
PurgeLog(TM) software, allows operators to store and print data for quality control purposes so that each weld can be supported with a relevant document showing weld purge integrity.
With this new instrument, the external effects of electronic radiation have been eliminated so that the PurgEye(TM) 500 will not be affected by high arc starting electrical energy.
PurgEye(TM) 500 would be particularly valuable to people welding Duplex Steel, Titanium and nickel alloys in critical pipeline and aerospace applications as well as any other areas of the welding industry where oxygen levels as low as 10 ppm need to be monitored and controlled.
