New Evolution™ Weight Indicator/Controller Offers Built-In Fieldbus Communications

Fairmont, MN–August 16, 2004–Avery Weigh-Tronix, Inc. has introduced The EVOLUTION™ Model E1070 Indicator. The new E1070 Indicator offers a versatile indicator/control platform designed for the heterogeneous industrial communications environment with built-in standard fieldbus interfaces for Ethernet 10/100, PROFIBUS DP and DeviceNet. The E1070 is the ideal solution for weighing, control and data sharing in networked applications such as tank weighing, truck scales and checkweighing. With a 100X per second analog-to-digital conversion rate, the flexible Model E1070 can also provide digital monitoring of individual Weigh Bar® analog weighing points with the optional Avery Weigh-Tronix SensorComm™ digital junction box, offering unparalleled flexibility in truck scale and batching applications.

The Model E1070's rugged stainless steel case is rated NEMA 4X, making it ready for washdown and wet applications. Other features include Harmonizer™ digital noise filtering, self-diagnostics, remote display capabilities, a bright, six digit/seven segment LED display with large 0.8-inch digits, dual serial ports for transference of weight information to peripherals devices, printers or computers, and soft-touch operational keys. In addition, the model E1070 is Legal for Trade.
