OTT Turn-key Solution Unveiled by Allegro DVT at IBC 2011
GRENOBLE, France -- Allegro DVT boiling R&D constantly strives to challenge the market with innovative ideas and products.
When we first started to develop AL2000, our multiscreen transcoder appliance, we sensed before everyone that software transcoding would spread out. With the Genova product line, we now push the idea even further and propose a totally integrated head-end, running on blade servers.
The use of blade servers reduces the overall complexity of the system, and makes routing, redundancy and administration much simpler than in the past, when many broadcast engineers would have agreed to qualify traditionnal headends as spaghetti plates.
Allegro DVT Genova software headend is a fast deployable software turn-key-solution for WebTV&OTT which embeds licenses for:

- Genova File Transcoder, which provides file-to-file batch assets conversion to perform high quality multirate transcoding of VoD contents.
- Genova Fragmenter, which handles fragmentation and remultiplexing of IP streams to all commonly used WebTV/OTT formats on the market.
