November 19, 2008 - Applied to running web, Double E/Re Integrated Tension System packages all electrical and pneumatic components needed to control product quality in one enclosure. Model EP.03 closed-loop tension control system can connect to new or existing pneumatic brakes and contains MW.90.10 controller, E/P converter, air pressure gages, and manual override dials. With 3 PID settings for acceleration, running, and deceleration, MW.90.10 can maintain consistent tension relative to line speed.

Integrated Web Tension Control Systems


Controlling the tension on a running web is the most important way to control product quality. The Double E / Re Integrated Tension System packages all electrical and pneumatic components in a single ready-to-mount, NEMA-style enclosure. The Model EP.03 is ideal for end users wishing to simplify installation of a new or upgraded closed loop tension control system. It contains the MW.90.10 controller, E/P converter, air pressure gages, and manual override dials, and quickly connects to new or existing pneumatic brakes.

The MW.90.10 offers three (3) P.I.D. settings for acceleration, running, and deceleration, so it maintains consistent tension relative to line speed. It does not use an average value like many other controllers. It also has a digital input display and digital output scale to easily monitor the brake or drive being controlled. Ten (10) programmable presets allow easy switching from one material to another, and an operator-friendly interface makes using and integrating the controller extremely simple.
