SITEOPS® Multi Pad 1.0 Changes the Grading Scale for Land Development
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 29 / -- BLUERIDGE Analytics(TM) today announced the release of its highly anticipated SITEOPS Multi Pad 1.0 land development software. This Web-based conceptual site design system combines powerful layout, grading, and piping tools with the ability to generate accurate site cost projections for building projects such as shopping centers and office complexes.
Land developers and civil engineers use SITEOPS to conduct rapid site selection assessments, determining whether buildings and parking are feasible on a site, given a budget and other parameters. SITEOPS also enables incredibly fast "what-if" scenarios to evaluate the cost impact of changes to a site design, such as moving a building, relocating a pond, or altering a parking lot slope.
SITEOPS Multi Pad goes beyond ordinary CAD, racing through thousands of grading and piping possibilities for a property, while also considering cost, constraints, and feasibility. Within minutes, the system can generate the most cost-effective grading and piping solutions for the layout, along with a cost report and design file.
"With other CAD tools, the engineer has to set finished floor elevations (FFE), calculate the sitework quantities, and then tweak the design manually," said Daniel Barnes, owner and partner with The Crown Companies, LLC. Multi Pad 1.0 contains many features found in Single Pad 3.6, including the ability to:

-- Generate side-by-side site cost optimization reports (SCOR) that include 2D and 3D images of the designs.
-- Export cost estimates in HTML and Excel(R)-compatible formats, and export design files in DWG, LandXML, and SITEOPS XML formats.
-- Collaborate on SITEOPS projects through the web-based SITEOPS Online Tools platform.
A Multi Pad AutoDraw tool that generates quick layouts for sites, which is currently part of Single Pad 3.6, is scheduled for full release in early 2009. Users have access to the BETA version of this tool in Multi Pad 1.0.
