Unit measures barrier packaging material applications including films, foil, metallized foils, blister packaging, silicone oxygen substrates, surgical and hygienic membranes, and non-woven materials. It measures water vapor transmission ranges from 0.001 to 10,000 gr/m²-day. Unit can be moved to different locations and requires one annual calibration.

User-Friendly Permeability Tester Analyzes Water Vapor Transmission Rates (WVTR) to Quickly Assess Barrier Properties in a Wide Range of Packaging
Glen Rock, NJ: Barrier testing for high or low permeability in sensitive product packages has been simplified with the introduction of the accurate, reliable, fast cycling Lyssy L80-5000 Water Vapor Permeability Tester available from PBI-Dansensor.
The precision Lyssy tester has been designed for ease in use by researchers, packaging engineers, package designers, and packaging line operators who require fast, accurate, and reliable Water Vapor Transmission Rates (WVTR). The Lyssy tester analyzes meats, cheese, salad, snack foods, soft drinks, pharmaceutical tablets, cosmetics, bandages, gauze, diapers, sanitary wipes, personal care, and household product packaging, and other products in which barrier properties are critical.
Lyssy L80-5000 tester measures a wide range of barrier packaging material applications including films, foil, metallized foils, blister packaging, silicone oxygen substrates, surgical and hygienic membranes, and non-woven materials.
A test sample is simply placed into the test chamber and measured intact by a very sensitive, reliable sensor with a wide linear, dynamic range that is positioned directly within the upper test chamber to allow testing to be performed at more actual conditions. An operator can easily move the Lyssy test unit, and/or change the calibration if desired, in about 5 to 10 minutes in order to measure multiple films or a range of barrier materials.
Lyssy measures water vapor transmission ranges from 0.001 to 10,000 gr/m²-day.
