December 18, 2001 - 6000 Series Water Unions feature cartridge seal that allows on-machine replacement with no need to remove hose connections or use special tools. Repair can be conducted by removing 6 hex bolts and end cap, removing cartridge seal and rotor seal face, and replacing. Unions have balanced mechanical seal with carbon against tungsten carbide seal faces for reduced friction and wear. Widely spaced ball bearings resist shock and vibration.
