Ergodyne Launches Chill-Its® Water Bottles

St. Paul, Minn. - Ergodyne announced today the addition of the Chill-Its® 5151 Water Bottle to the Chill-Its® Hydration Series. This dishwasher-safe hydration vessel carries up to 1L of fluid and allows for easy accessibility and storage with a screw top and loop for carabiner use. Made from BPA-free Tritan plastic - it's tough enough to last a lifetime of jobsite bumps and bruises.

Inadequate hydration means a loss of productivity on the jobsite. Without sufficient water, the brain can't work properly, making a worker feel groggy, slow and generally, out of it. If a worker is only 1% dehydrated, he or she will start to feel thirsty, at which point there is a 10% decrease in mental performance. Work performance drops off with just as little as 2% water loss. When dehydrated, it's harder for the body to regulate its temperature, making the body feel overheated or chronically cold/unable to get warm. Additionally, the kidneys can't function as well when in a state of dehydration, allowing toxins and wastes to back up resulting in an overall "crummy" feeling that, if proper action is not taken, can very quickly result in the onset of heat stress.*

"There's no doubt about it, dehydration is a contributing factor to heat stress," said Tom Votel president and CEO of Ergodyne. "These new water bottles promote proper hydration and allow workers to keep a hydration reservoir within arm's reach at all times."

Offered in orange, gray and lime, the new Chill-Its® 5151 Water Bottle is ideal for outdoor and indoor workers who battle heat and fatigue on the job. The new water bottle is available March 2012 at all authorized Ergodyne distributors. For more information visit www.ergodyne.com or, contact our crackerjack staff at 800.225.8238.
