Ameri-Kart Introduces Smart Dumper(TM): A Legal for Trade Waste Handling System
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (May-2002) - Ameri-Kart of Goddard, Kansas, and LTS Scale of Twinsburg, Ohio, have developed a Smart Dumperâ„¢ waste handling system that combines a legal-for-trade weighing unit and an easy-to-operate hydraulic cart unloader. The new system provides accuracy and durability with reliability and simplicity for multi-user applications including; enclosed malls, office complexes, manufacturing settings, and health care facilities.
The Smart Dumper monitors multi-user waste collection programs where charge back disputes between waste generators and haulers occur. The unit has a legal-for-trade certification that allows the facility owner or hauler to charge by accurate weight, not gross container capacity or estimated usage. The system records individual use and billings are based on verifiable information.
Authorized users activate the Smart Dumper with an RFID card. After a waste cart is moved into position, the card is scanned and the control panel becomes operational. The cart is lifted, weighed, emptied, and reweighed in a quick, efficient sequence. The weight is recorded automatically and the cart is returned to the floor. Individual charges for waste hauling are based on the recorded, accumulated weight.
The unit's microprocessor can be customized to match the specific needs of each installation. A system can be ordered with an optional printer to provide printed, hardcopy receipts on demand. Where receipts are not required, the unit's memory can be expanded to accumulate data for periodic retrieval, or it can be programmed and hardwired for immediate data transmission to a mainframe.
Smart Dumpers are compatible with most through-the-wall access ports that connect directly to a trash compactor or bulk waste container. Where required, Ameri-Kart and LTS Scale will be available to consult with the user on ways to modify an existing area to work more efficiently with the Smart Dumper.
The standard Smart Dumper is an AC unit and comes with an audio or visual alarm and an accumulator to monitor total container weight. The unit's set point can be established on-site and changed as needed.
