JLCC, Inc. Develops New "Warm-up" Burner

LINDALE, TX – JLCC, Inc. has developed a warm-up burner for use in natural draft boilers to warm the boiler, creating the draft necessary to begin burning solid fuel; thus, there are no forced-draft or induced-draft fans to interlock to. As an example, this is a very simple system for use in sugarcane processing plants. The burner is intended as a device that can keep a boiler warm in a safe manner. The controls on this burner are an improvement over existing burners in that they provide for flame supervision; the ability to lockout the fuel in the event of a flame failure. The warm up burner has been approved by FM Global. A JLCC representative said today, “The sugar mill industry needed a solution, and we created one.”

JLCC has been designing and building solutions such as Low NOx and Ultra Low NOx burners for the refining industry for many years resolving emission issues and efficiency.
