John Deere Commercial Walk-Behind Mowers Combine Updated Features With Powerful Results

Designed for easier use and increased productivity, the John Deere 7H17 and 7H19 Walk-Behind Mowers are a valuable addition to any commercial worksite. Both models are equipped with twin cylinder Kawasaki engines and provide easy starting, improved fuel efficiency, lower sound levels and cooler operating temperatures. Operators can choose from a 48- or 54-inch heavy-duty 7-Iron(TM) mower deck. Cutting height is easily adjusted without tools, using spring-loaded, quick-pull pins. Adjustable rear gauge wheels eliminate scalping on uneven terrain, and a front gauge wheel kit is available as an optional dealer installed accessory. Electric PTO makes for easy engagement of mower blades, and electric ignition is optional. Featuring a new Kanzaki hydraulic pump, heavy-duty frame and floating deck system, the 7H17 and 7H19 offer reliability and durability under heavy use. A 2-gal. hydraulic reservoir allows the system to operate at cooler temperatures. The Kanzaki DUP-10 pump with two Parker wheel motors provides increased durability and serviceability. Speed and tracking functions are controlled with one lever for easy maneuverability. Both models feature unitized hydrostatic transmissions with on-the-go tracking adjustment. The tracking control knob features a Single-Side Tracking Tension system to better maintain straight tracking as travel speed is varied, and requires less effort to change machine speed. In addition, the steering control levers have been redesigned to reduce handgrip reach and soften tension, enabling operators to operate the mower more comfortably all day long. With a forward mowing speed of 7 mph, operators can maintain productivity and cut quality. The reverse mowing speed has been increased to 3 mph, allowing operators to back out of tight spots quickly without reducing productivity. A larger 6-gal. fuel tank also allows operators to mow longer and farther for increased productivity. For ease of control, these models feature an operator presence system, electric PTO, separate choke and throttle, and spring-loaded automatic thumb latch release. Available attachments include a choice of fixed or steerable two-wheel sulky; a 3.5-bushel, side-mounted grass catcher; and Tricycler mulching kit.
