July 10, 2007 - High Temperature Vortex Tubes convert ordinary supply of compressed air into one hot stream and one cold stream for spot cooling applications in environments up to 392°F. Compressed air is sole source of power, eliminating use of chemicals and refrigerants, and cold air temperatures are adjustable from -50°F to ambient. With cooling capacities of 135-10,200 BTU/hr, stainless steel tubes have no moving parts and offer total airflow of 2-150 scfm @ 100 psig inlet air pressure.

New Product: High Temperature Vortex Tubes

EXAIR's new High Temperature Vortex Tubes are ideal for spot cooling applications that are located in hot environments up to 392°F (200°C). They produce cold air temperatures down to -50°F (-46°C) and have cooling capacities of 135 to 10,200 Btu/hr.

High Temperature Vortex Tubes convert an ordinary supply of compressed air into two streams; one hot and one cold. Compressed air is the only source of power, eliminating the use of chemicals and refrigerants. Cold air temperatures are adjustable from -50°F (-46°C) to ambient. The total airflow is 2 to 150 SCFM at 100 PSIG inlet air pressure. There are no moving parts to wear out, assuring years of reliable, maintenance-free operation.

High Temperature Vortex Tubes have a durable stainless steel construction that resists wear and corrosion. There are hundreds of cooling applications; some of the most common include cooling electronic control panels, reducing tool wear in machining operations, process or part cooling, setting hot melt adhesives, cooling welding horns, and dehumidifying gas samples. Prices start at $200.
