Octave Tuning VCO Tunes from 3 to 6 GHz

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model V600ME45-LF ideal for satellite communication applications. The V600ME45-LF operates from 3000 to 6000 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0-24 Vdc. This octave tuning VCO features a typical phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz @ 100 kHz offset and an average tuning sensitivity of 147 MHz/V.

The V600ME45-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 6 dBm into a 50 ohm load while operating from a 12 Vdc supply and drawing only 24 mA. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85ºC while suppressing the second harmonic to better than -12 dBc. This robust VCO comes in Z-COMM's standard MINI-16-LOW package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.16 in. The V600ME45-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and is available in tape and reel packaging.
