Interact Incorporated Integrates Fax Capabilities with Their Latest Version 6.14 of SPOT

Interact's recently enhanced SIP-based SoftSPOT VoiceXML/CCXML Interpreter brings fax capability and new enhancements for high-density enterprises and carrier-grade service providers worldwide.

(Lincoln, Nebraska-USA) August 26, 2009: - Interact Incorporated, an enabler of premium voice and data solutions for carriers and enterprises worldwide, is pleased to announce enhancements to both their VIP (Voice and Information Processing) Platform Software and its SPOT branded VoiceXML/CCXML based interpreter set with its latest release of software, V6.14.

Most interpreters on the market today lack fax detection and handling capabilities, requiring you to create your own fax detect script or run off an existing legacy system, Interact's SoftSPOT V6.14 is fully able to send and receive faxes over IP using T.38 protocol. Many additional features are also included in the SPOT V6.14 upgrade:

o Ability to send and receive faxes over IP using T.38 protocol.

o Improved audio quality.

o Automatic software installation checkpoints make upgrades to new software versions and development processes on SPOT a breeze by creating checkpoints, allowing the user to rollback/roll forward to any previously check-pointed state.

o Easily accessible CPU*, Ethernet Traffic*, and RAM* usage data prominently displayed on SPOT's STATCON viewer to decrease troubleshooting resolution time. (* In addition to data previously provided)

o System data tags via HTTP Get/Post easily retrieve system data.

o Enhanced SIP stack support for RFC4240 providing initial INVITE to CCXML application for parsing and processing.

Full details on the recent enhancements to Interact's SPOT solutions can be found at: http://www.iivip.com/pdf/SPOT_Overvie....

"Interact Incorporated is committed to developing world class solutions for the carrier marketplace," said Greg Gissler, Founder, VP and CTO of Interact. "Our latest SoftSPOT upgrade reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and feature enhancements by introducing fax capability, a feature commonly lacking with other VoiceXML/CCXML interpreters on the market today."

By offering a feature-rich, yet cost effective total solution, Interact's SPOT V6.14 enables operators to deploy cutting-edge services and minimal Total Cost of Ownership. SPOT can also be used in combination with existing legacy systems thus protecting a previous capital investment. While our competition is still limiting their customers to 48-96 ports per application server, SPOT customers are experiencing application scalability in the 500 to 1000 ports per server range. When looking to improve VoiceXML performance, why build a VoiceXML/CCXML based interpreter yourself or trust slow open source when Interact's SPOT V6.14 can provide a robust, cost effective alternative?

With the innate ability to virtually eliminate application load and memory penalties, thereby allowing applications to scale smoothly, Interact's newly updated SPOT V6.14 is able to process hundreds to thousands of call channels for automated telephony applications, such as: voice dialing, TTS and ASR processes, national directory assistance, conference calling, call recording, automated outbound dialing and more.
