Utilizing 0.1 micron resolution encoders for optimal accuracy and repeatability, custom XY gantry has 1 x 1 in. stroke and supports moving coil option that reduces moving mass and increases acceleration. Bottom axis uses 2 voice coil actuators in parallel, and gantry can be driven with DC servo or DC linear amplifiers and 2-axis programmable motion controller. For top and bottom axes, respective ratings are 2.3 and 4.6 lb for continuous force and 6.9 and 13.8 lb for peak force.

Two-Axis Voice Coil Positioning Stage Gantry
H2W's latest high precision, high speed custom XY gantry utilizes 0.1 micron resolution encoders for high accuracy and repeatability. The moving coil option reduces moving mass and increases acceleration. The bottom axis uses two voice coil actuators in parallel to double the force and acceleration capabilities. Can be driven with standard DC servo or DC linear amplifiers, and a two-axis programmable motion controller. Each axis is guided by a high precision cross roller linear bearing.
The voice coil positioning stage is a compact, small footprint positioning stage. It is ideal for closed loop positioning applications with a short stroke where intricate position, velocity, and acceleration control is necessary.
