New! LightPix Vision Sensor - Stable Detection and Simple Operation

New Providence, NJ - Aromat Corporation (Matsushita Electric Works, America) announces the release of the LightPix Vision Sensor.

The LightPix Vision Sensor is an ultra compact, Color C-MOS Photoreceptor.

It provides 352 x 288 pixels resolution, network capability via RS-485 port, six digital inputs, five digital outputs (Sourcing/Sinking), and white LED light source built-in. In addition, it uses an easy four steps push-button set-up via an operation unit. No programming knowledge is required.

The LightPix provides three powerful and flexible inspection tools;

Color Extraction and Detection - The system is capable of extracting up to 7 different colors or shades. This feature is particularly useful for color sorting in automotive finishes, painted parts and pharmaceutical pill sorting inspections.

Side and Corners Detection and Measurement - It detects and measures a horizontal side (X), vertical side (Y) or simultaneous sides (X-Y) with an accuracy of 0.1 mm.

Area Measurement- It automatically measures the total width and height of a specific area. This feature is useful for object presence inspections, where the target may shift position randomly within a specified area.

The LightPix System color or binary inspections are simple to use, and its high performance for quality control and defect containment are well suited for a multitude of applications in pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and automotive industries. The LightPix Vision Sensor (Controller) is only $1,492 *(MSRP US Dollars).
