Kurt Versatile Lock Vises Have One-Piece Body and Stationary Jaw Design - Provides 0.0005 Inch Clamping Repeatability

Minneapolis, Minnesota: Kurt's Versatile Lock Vises have been labeled "the machining industry's ultimate CNC single station CNC vise." These unique vises feature a one-piece body and stationary jaw design integrated with Kurt's time-proven Anglock feature. Together, this pull-type jaw clamping design reduces jaw stationary deflection by at least 80 percent providing clamping repeatability of 0.0005 inch.

Ideal for precision part clamping on machining centers, mills and grinders, these Kurt Versatile Lock vises feature durable 80,000 PSI ductile iron bodies with precision machined steel components. Their robust design provides rugged strength, extra rigidity and long-term accuracy while absorbing machining vibration.

The Anglock design prevents parts from lifting upward under heavy clamping loads. A hardened spherical segment mechanism produces "all directional" alignment of the jaw components and vise body so clamped parts remain stationary for accurate machining operations at all times. Clamping force for the Model 3600 manual model is 6356 lbs at 80 lbs of input torque. The Model 3600H hydraulic model delivers 12,600 lbs clamping force at 3200 lbs of input PSI.

Additional features include: designed for mounting upright or on either side; matched stationary jaw to keyway including the body height ±0.001 inch; 13 inch footprint (short version) ideal for the smallest machines; manual, hydraulic and air models available. Two of these Versatile Lock vises mount easily and quickly back-to-back forming an economical vise tombstone.

All Kurt Versatile vises are backed by Kurt's exclusive lifetime "Iron Clad(TM)" warranty for workmanship and materials.
