Hughes Launches Virtualized Field Office Server for the Government Market
Managed Solution Lowers Costs, Improves Application Performance, and Simplifies IT Support; Enables Government 'Field Office of the Future'
GERMANTOWN, Md., -- Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), the global leader in broadband satellite networks and services and a worldwide leader in managed network solutions, today unveiled a virtualized server offering for the government market designed to reduce IT infrastructure and operating costs, while enabling "Field Office of the Future" applications.
To meet their broader missions, federal agencies at the field office, bureau, and division level are seeking to deploy richer and more secure citizen-facing applications, which increasingly demand more bandwidth and IT infrastructure at each site. The Hughes Virtualized Field Office Server offering meets this challenge head-on, enabling agencies to easily host multiple critical applications on a single managed platform.
