Virtual Reality Software uses .NET technology.January 25, 2008 -
Enabling remote collaboration through Internet with online virtualization tools, Walkinside® v5 facilitates real-time manipulation of large and complex 3D models built from diverse data file formats. It allows those models to be connected to supporting databases via tags. Users can contextually link external applications and databases, while they employ human-like avatars to simulate real-world constraints, such as gravity, collision, and relative dimension.

VRcontext Releases Redeveloped Virtual Reality Software
HOUSTON, Jan. 17 / -- Brussels-based VRcontext has announced the release of Walkinside® Version 5 virtual reality software.
Walkinside software has been redeveloped to deliver faster, more intuitive navigation of large complex production assets using .NET technology, which enables remote collaboration through the Internet with online virtualization tools that are accessible even from low-end workstations. Users can contextually link external applications and databases, while they employ human-like avatars to simulate real-world constraints, such as gravity, collision, and relative dimension.
"The VRcontext solution enables intuitive, real-time manipulation of large and complex 3D models -- conveniently built from diverse data file formats -- and it allows them to be connected to supporting databases via tags," said Jim Thomson, Visualization Theme Lead for BP Information Management Solutions.
Mr. Thomson added, "Without special training, our engineers are able to integrate all project-relevant CAD files and engineering databases, and they are not constrained by data decimation, detrimental shortcuts, or model size limitations."
