Introduces Mini-Video Fiber Optic Transmitter

Danbury, CT. June 20, 2008, Communication Networks of Danbury, Connecticut, doing business as ComNet(TM), a newly formed manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and networking equipment, has introduced and officially released its first of fiber optic video product. The FVT11-m is a mini fiber optic video transmitter for use over multimode optical fiber. The FVT11-m converts a single baseband video channel to an optical signal and transmits it up to 2.5km to a fiber optic receiver where it is converted back to baseband video for monitoring. The FVT11-m is a brand new design from ComNet utilizing state of the art components ensuring better performance and reliability.

According to George Lichtblau, ComNet(TM) Chairman, "single channel fiber optic video transmitters are used in thousands of applications. Many of the products available today are from 20-year-old designs. The ComNet FVT11-m is new approach. The FVT11-m is the first release for ComNet. A series of receivers and other models will be introduced in the near future.
