Samsung Launches New Line of DIY Video Security and Surveillance Systems for Homes and SMBs


New consumer products feature technologies that vastly improve system ease of use and flexibility

LAS VEGAS, -- Samsung Techwin America, a supplier of video surveillance products combining superior performance and value, today announced a new line of consumer security products for home and small business use featuring Samsung's signature design, reliability and technology in an affordable and flexible, easy-to-use solution.

Available in 4-, 8-, or 16-Channels, the systems include a DVR with storage capacities ranging from 500 GB to 1 TB. The new Samsung DIY Security Systems feature:

-- OmniView Technology: Samsung's proprietary software enabling small and medium business owners to manage an infinite number of systems at multiple geographic locations simultaneously from a single user interface.

-- QuickConnect: Automatically configures the system with a wireless network to enable remote viewing via PC or Smartphone from anywhere in the world. QuickConnect virtually eliminates the problems consumers traditionally experience connecting products to their network thereby greatly reducing the number of end-user returns.

-- Mobile and TV Apps: Allows users to watch video from their security systems on the go via their mobile phone or from home on the TV.

The Samsung DIY Security Systems boast powerful functionality yet they're easy to use and simple to navigate. The line includes both box and dome hi-res cameras with night vision capability up to 40 feet, an IP66 weatherproof design and options for wireless or audio capabilities.
