Mango DSP Introduces a Scalable Intelligent Video Solution Running up to 60 D1 Video Channels with Analytics

BIRMINGHAM, England, May 22 / -- Mango DSP, a leading provider of advanced video solutions for the video surveillance, Homeland Security and defense markets, today announced the launch of the RavensNest -- a completely rugged intelligent video command and control system streaming up to 60 D1 video MPEG4 channels with content analytics on all channels. The Mango DSP IVS software, which runs on the 60 Raven-HXi rugged 104 video server, allows the user to choose video compression such as MJPEG, MPEG4 and H264 along with the suitable video analytic solution for his specific needs. The RavensNest is a standard 3U 19" chassis that enables integration with existing security systems and infrastructure. The new solution is designed for large-scale Homeland security projects in which one central control center is imperative.

"The RavensNest is an important addition to our product offering as we see the Homeland security market mature and the demand for large-scale systems grow," said Baruch Peled, CEO of Mango. "Our attentiveness and responsiveness to market requirements has enabled us to launch successful solutions such as the Pegasus reference design which has been endorsed by Object Video and other analytic partners, and the Raven-X2 104 which has been integrated in Cisco's router. The RavensNest completes our offering, enabling us to meet the requirements of our partners and customers, ranging from miniature intelligent video solutions through cameras, to robust surveillance control systems."

The RavensNest provides the management capabilities required for today's surveillance market. An SNMP card provides constant monitoring of the temperature, power supply voltages, fan RPM rotation, and failure of one of the Raven video servers. All failures are reported through the Ethernet to the control station. The RavensNest enables full control of camera inputs through the 60 RS 422 outputs on the rear panel.

The RavensNest is designed for robust surveillance systems offering high reliability and scalability. Full power supply redundancy is provided thought the use of two N+1 redundant power supply units. Temperature control is ensured by fan redundancy. The RavensNest is a perfect fit for video surveillance needs; the video cards can be hot swapped allowing the user to maintain and repair the system without any shutdowns. The Raven Intelligent Video Servers are the only full industrial analytic ready video servers designed to run at -40 to +85 degrees C. This solution enables the constant control of all video parameters and up to 60 video channels at 4CIF/D1 resolution and full frame rate. The chassis contains up to 60 Raven HXi 104 intelligent video servers that are connected by a custom carrier card to the back plane module. The RavensNest's modular design enables various assembly options and scalability starting with one channel through to thousands of channels.

The RavensNest will be presented at the IFFSEC, Booth # 18159, on May 21- 24.
