Introducing the NanoVTV Video Scan Converter from Advanced Micro Peripherals

New York, USA and Cambridge, England, - Advanced Micro Peripherals (AMP), a leading manufacturer of embedded video solutions, is delighted to announce the introduction of its NanoVTV video scan converter.

Smaller than a credit card, the NanoVTV packs a host of advanced features and converts computer VGA signals into high quality PAL/NTSC/RSI170 to drive a comprehensive range of electronic displays.

Despite its compact size, the NanoVTV is both rugged and robust. It delivers consistent high-quality video scan conversion and is almost miserly in its low power consumption. The NanoVTV also requires minimal configuration and is low maintenance.

Ideally suited for multi-purpose displays in fighting vehicles, illuminated panels, aircraft and avionics displays and display systems for simulators, the NanoVTV gives systems integrators, embedded display system designers and specialists involved in aircraft or ground vehicle upgrades access to industry leading, versatile video scan conversion.

Commenting, Lee Foss, Founder and CEO of Advanced Micro Peripherals said: "Our aim is to provide the highest quality video solutions that are low power, utterly reliable, high quality and low maintenance and the NanoVTV is a prime example of achieving that objective.

"We also offer comprehensive software support tools to minimise the time to market as well as full technical support from Advanced Micro Peripherals' video experts."

Unlike conventional scan converters, the NanoVTV features on-board Frame Store and a DSP unit which performs scan conversion, flicker filtering, scaling and colour space conversion in the digital domain.

The NanoVTV features a board micro controller allowing it to operate completely standalone without run-time control from an external system. The settings of the card can be modified via a serial link and application-specific configuration can be stored to the non-volatile storage of the card.
