The New CAM2IP Video Encoder: The Intelligent Choice for Prudent Network Management

Geutebruck's new DSP-based video encoder, CAM2IP integrates analog cameras into networks and puts intelligent video management next to the camera, where it relieves the network most. Designed to work alongside GeViScope or re_porter CCTV platforms, CAM2IP reinvigorates existing infrastructure with high functionality and easy software upgrading. The analog camera becomes an intelligent network device which streams pictures only when required, and then always pre-sized and pre-formatted for purpose. A strategy which delivers the same excellent quality pictures using much less data, bandwidth and cost.

Thanks to Geutebruck's unique MPEG4CCTV encoding process, CAM2IP offers event-controlled encoding; demand-controlled picture formatting (using dynamic live streaming); intelligent compression - based on activity detection (or VMD) analysis; and dual channel streaming for simultaneous but independent local storage and remote picture viewing at up to 25 fps. CAM2IP can be used with high speed domes and PTZ systems, and its PoE function provides the associated camera with up to 12V DC/600mA.
