New Okuma & Howa V100R Vertical Turning Center Combines Heavy Metal Removal with High Accuracy



Deerfield, IL---Designed for heavy turning in high tensile alloys and cast materials, Okuma & Howa's new V100R offers job shops and manufacturers strength and versatility for large parts applications.

The cutting envelope is a generous 39.37" maximum cutting diameter, 49.21" maximum swing diameter and 35.04" maximum cutting length. Combining a powerful 74-horsepower motor with a rugged gear box, the V100R ranges from 4 to 750 rpms. The V12 turret carries 12 tools and accommodates standard tooling from 1.25" to 2" and boring bars from 2.0" to 2.5." X-axis travel is 22.24" and travel in the Z axis is 35.04." Rapid traverse in both axes is 945ipm. The control is the popular Fanuc 18iT.

Heavy-Duty Construction - Multiple Standard Features
The V100R is equipped with ample, flame hardened box ways for precision performance and long life. The ultra rigid column dampens vibration, and the saddle is counter-balanced for ease of movement. The spindle is the largest in its class, and the integrated quill/spindle assembly assures accuracy with minimal vibration.
