December 26, 2008 - With footprint optimized for space-constrained vertical translation, ANT-LXV stages can be used in range of configurations and use non-cogging, non-contact direct-drive technology free of hysteresis and backlash. Anti-stiction counterbalance is included to hold position against gravity with minimal motor current. Along with standardized universal-base mounting pattern, features include 2.5 nm resolution, 1 g acceleration, 500 mm/s velocity, and 5 kg load capacity.

Aerotech Introduces the ANT-LXV Direct-Drive, Vertical Translation Stage

Aerotech's ANT-LXV stages combine speed, accuracy, resolution, repeatability, and the reliability of direct-drive within an extremely small footprint for high-performance, space-constrained vertical translation. The ANT-LXV offers 2.5 nm resolution, 1 g acceleration, 500 mm/s velocity, 5 kg load capacity, and a standardized universal-base mounting pattern that allows the use of this flexible stage family in a wide range of configurations.

ANT-LXV stages use advanced direct-drive technology, pioneered by Aerotech, to achieve the highest level of positioning performance. This direct-drive technology is non-cogging, noncontact, high-speed, high-resolution, and high-accuracy, allowing high precision, smaller incremental moves to be accomplished reliably and repeatably. The ANT-LXV features an extremely small-profile footprint offering tangible advantages in many applications such as fiber alignment, optical delay element actuation, and scanning applications that demand smooth motion. Aerotech's direct-drive technology has no hysteresis or backlash so that accurate and repeatable nanometer-scale motion is a reality.

ANT-LXV stages include an anti-stiction counterbalance to hold position against gravity with very little motor current. An integrated precision regulator allows fine adjustment for a range of payloads.

Please view or download the ANT-LXV data sheet, or you can discuss your motion application with an Aerotech Application Engineer.
