MegaStar MM550 Controller Helps Industrial Companies Maximize Storage and Retrieval Efficiency

The new MM550 Controller from MegaStar Systems is an inventory management control system built into MegaStar vertical storage systems that can improve inventory management efficiencies of warehousing storage and retrieval operations.

With the MM550 Controller, operators simply enter a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) number using the on-board keyboard. The MegaStar vertical storage and retrieval system automatically delivers the requested item to an ergonomically positioned access window.

Printed pick lists and reports are available with a click of a button. A range of options further extends the capabilities of the MM550 Controller for industrial applications. It can be configured to manage item heights and weights, FIFO with store back function, and manage empty locations. An order processing option offers kit list processing and path-optimized order processing. Optional bar code reading capability improves stock number entry accuracy and efficiency.

The controller display provides alphanumeric item and location information including actual quantity, minimum quantity, and stock turnover. This controller can store up to 10,000 single items or SKUs per machine in up to 512 trays or shelves with additional capacity available.

The MM550 Controller can control up to 31 machines via ethernet. In this configuration, the unit with the controller acts as the master unit. It can also be connected to a PC to link with your existing ERP, WMS or other proprietary host software packages.
