High-Tech Vertical Machines with 3D-Controls at an Unbeatable Price

As one of its main highlights in the field of Vertical Machining Centers, DMG will present the DMC 35 V Series to IMTS visitors in Chicago. DMG will showcase a multitude of profitable high-tech features that are unique in this compact class of vertical milling. Some of these highlights include the 8,000 rpm. spindle and a 20x magazine with a double gripper for short chip-to-chip times, high rapid traverse speeds and short idle times and the latest 3D-controls for optimized programming and the fastest way to the finished workpiece.

The DMC 35 V Series will demonstrate at its IMTS Premiere that it is an unbeatable performance package in the area of compact Vertical Machining Centers. This is all due to its outstanding features that include large traverse paths with minimum space requirements and top performances with optimum conditions. Visitors will also be convinced that it is the perfect machining alternative for milling applications in the area of flexible single-piece machining and small to medium-series production as well as for training tasks.

The design of the DMC 635 / 835 / 1035 machines is based on a simple and effective principle of success which is due to low investment costs and maximum production earnings. This goal has been reached with spindle rotations of 8,000 rpm. (optional 12,000 rpm.) and a direct drive main spindle, rapid traverse speeds up to 1,181.1 ipm. as well as with a 20x tool magazine with a double gripper for a rapid tool exchange time of only 1.6 seconds.

DMG places the DMC 35 V Series on a stable C-frame construction in gray cast-iron in order to achieve the maximum rigidity requirements which therefore create the basis for high precision in the milling process. A further guarantee for stability and precision are the roller guideways in all axes. The proven 3-point support of the machine shortens and simplifies the initial operation.

The CNC-controls, optional from Siemens, Heidenhain or Fanuc, assure optimal user comfort and the fastest way to the finished workpiece with its fast processors, 15" TFT-screen and supporting 3D-software. All CNC options easily adapt themselves to the performance spectrum of the DMC 35 V Series. The innovative DMG Powertools expand the possibilities of the machine and enhance productivity and processing safety. Last but not least, the interface as well as the Ethernet links assure a fast and direct integration into superior networks.

The portfolio of the new DMC 35 V Series is topped off by a series of individual options. These feature a "Job Package" consisting of a chip conveyor, a rinsing pistol, as well as cooling agent / air transfer that enhances processing safety and minimizes maintenance costs. For increased performance and precision requirements, DMG offers a 12,000 rpm. spindle, a double-gripper tool magazine for 30 tools and a linear measuring system. This can be expanded to the "Extended Version" that can be fine tuned with IKZ- attachments and a chip conveyor or bed flushing.
