Products have cast iron structure, provide 540 mm Y-axis travel, and accommodate 585 mm deep component. With 25 hp spindle as standard, users can select from 2 performance packages: Xi, with 12,500 rpm spindle and 30-tool toolchanger, or Si, with 20,000 rpm HSK-A63 spindle or optional 40,000 rpm spindle.

Cincinnati Lamb to Demonstrate New CFV High-Performance VMCs at IMTS

Chicago, Ill., Sept. 8, 2004 - Cincinnati Lamb will introduce its new CFV line of vertical machining centers at IMTS 2004 in booth A-8101 with two models of the new line running demonstrations tailored to the automotive and die mold markets. The CFV line includes four models that can travel up to 1300 mm in the X-axis and is available with a choice of performance packages that tailor the machine to the application.
Designed with a high-strength, cast iron structure, the new CFV machining centers provide 540 mm Y-axis travel and can accommodate a 585 mm-deep component, maximizing table capacity. A 25 hp spindle is standard, and users can select from two performance packages to suit their application requirements. The "Xi" package with 12,500 rpm spindle and 30-tool toolchanger is configured for high-production machining applications, while the "Si" package with 20,000 rpm HSK-A63 spindle or optional 40,000 rpm spindle is ideally suited to die & mold and aerospace applications. A choice of CNC options from GE Fanuc and Siemens complements the CFV's many operator ergonomic, coolant control, and chip flushing and extraction features.
