Thiele Introduces New Slidell PowderPacker Pro

MINNEAPOLIS - Thiele Technologies is pleased to introduce the new Slidell PowderPacker Pro. The PowderPacker Pro uses a time-tested quality Slidell design based on the 3109 and 3110 models and enhances it with the latest in design and technology. This completely automated packaging system offers virtually dust-free bagging for most difficult to handle powders. Products handled include dry soy food ingredients, calcium carbonate, polyethylene glycol, IPA and TMA products, molecular sieve zeolite, stellar (modified corn starch), plastic powder, flour, titanium dioxide, resins and pigments.

The PowderPacker Pro uses a vertical auger system to maintain constant bag top control, from bag pick up through sealing, with the ultimate dust control capabilities. Bottom-up auger filling minimizes dust and compresses the product as the bag is filled, maximizing production. An updated user-friendly touchscreen and Allen-Bradley controls make operation simple, reducing learning time and operator error. The PowderPacker Pro perfectly handles pinch bottom, open mouth and recyclable plastic bags.

"We're thrilled to be reintroducing Slidell equipment to the market," says Braden Beam, Flexible Business Unit Leader for Thiele. Based in Owatonna, MN, Slidell was founded in 1975 and acquired by Thiele in 2006. As a former competitor of Thiele Technologies, Slidell produced bagging equipment for many challenging powder applications. While Thiele continued to offer service and parts support to customers with existing Slidell equipment after the acquisition, the PowderPacker Pro is the first complete update and relaunch since 2006.

"Thiele was fortunate to retain several key Slidell players in the acquisition enabling us to continue supporting the Slidell customer base with parts, service and upgrades. Julie Boreen on the parts team, Terry Trotman on the service team and Doug Brase on the applications and engineering teams help Thiele maintain and grow our Slidell relationships. This product launch is a natural next step for the product line," explains Kip Boie, Thiele's Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
