Vane-Axial Fans Ideal for Telecom, Medical, Industrial Equipment...

ORION FANS DEVELOPS HIGH PERFORMANCE DC FAN SERIES WITH INCREASED AIRFLOW, HIGH STATIC PRESSURE

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 12, 2009) - Orion Fans, a leading manufacturer of standard and custom AC and DC fans, fan trays and accessories, has developed a new series of application-specific high performance DC fans. The VA Series fans include the most popular frame sizes: 120x38 mm, 92x38mm, 80x38mm and 60x38mm. These models feature exceptional airflow in applications with extremely high static pressure.

"Due to the ever increasing cooling demands of today's electronic equipment, we have developed a new line of vane-axial fans with superior airflow in exceptionally high static pressure environments," said David Luna, product marketing manager for Orion Fans. "These fans maximize airflow even in nearly sealed enclosures, making them ideal for networking and telecommunications equipment, industrial electronic cabinets and medical imaging equipment with high power loads, such as CT scanners and MRI machines."
All VA Series fans feature a dual ball bearing system with a brushless DC, auto restart, polarity-protected motor. All the popular special function options such as PWM, tachometer, alarm and thermal control are available in these new models. The fans can also be IP55-protected.

The OD1238 VA Series (120x38mm) feature airflows ranging from 140 to 283 CFM with a maximum static pressure as high as 1.85" H2O for the 48V version. The OD1238 vane-axial fans are available in 12, 24 and 48VDC. Life expectancy (L10) is 65,000 hours.
The high performance OD9238 VA Series (92x38mm) features 135 CFM airflow with a maximum static pressure of 0.74" H2O. Life expectancy (L10) is in excess of 50,000 hours.

With airflow up to 112 CFM, the OD8038 VA Series (80x38mm) is the only fan of its size to deliver this level of performance. Maximum static pressure is 1.1" H2O. The series is offered in 12, 24 and 48V configurations. Life expectancy (L10) is in excess of 50,000 hours.

The OD6038 VA Series (60x38mm) provide an industry-leading 61 CFM performance with a maximum static pressure of 1.59" H2O for the high-speed model and are available in 12, 24 and 48V configurations. Life expectancy (L10) is in excess of 50,000 hours.
Pricing for the VA Series fans in OEM quantities of 1-99 is $24.00 for the 120mm model and $16.00 for the 60, 80 and 92mm models. Prototype samples are also available.
