June 27, 2005 - Electro-hydraulic Series SKP performs safety shutoff and gas pressure regulation, eliminating need for separately piped pressure regulator. Units can also act as 1:1 air/gas proportioner or zero governor. Featuring NEMA 4 design, actuators include visual position indicators and wiring terminations on front. To facilitate installation, mounting screws are pre-attached to actuator and conduit adapters are not required.

Siemens Improves Process Performance With New Line Of Multi-Function Gas Shut-Off Valve Actuators

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., June 7, 2005 - Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. has introduced a new line of SKP Series multifunction gas shut-off valve actuators to optimize process performance and minimize costs for ovens, dryers, and furnaces applications.

Siemens SKP Series electro-hydraulic actuators offer NEMA 4 design and many new features. Visual position indicators and wiring terminations are located on the front of the actuator for easy valve position information and service access. To simplify installation, mounting screws are pre-attached to the actuator and conduit adapters are not required.

SKP actuators perform two functions - safety shutoff and gas pressure regulation - eliminating the need for a separately piped pressure regulator to reduce gas train length, valve size, and cost. SKP actuators can also perform the function of a 1:1 air/gas proportioner, or zero governor, and additional versions are available for air-gas ratio control, including preheated combustion air.
