Jennings Technology® RJ6S Vacuum Relay Offers Superior Quality for Longer Service Life

SAN JOSE, Calif., - The new Jennings Technology® RJ6S Vacuum Relay utilizes vacuum dielectric for arc quenching with dissimilar hard metal contacts to prevent welding. This unique design contributes to better performance at higher voltages, as well as longer service life, compared to other vacuum relays available on the market. Designed for make-and-break load switching in AC, DC and RF applications, the RJ6S Vacuum Relay is subjected to exacting quality assurance measures that ensure superior performance in the field.

"We've conducted load switch application tests that were side-by-side comparisons of the RJ6S with other similar units available in the marketplace. The RJ6S performed up to 20 percent better than the other relays," said Jose Frias, lead engineer for Jennings Technology. "The combination of our design and our proprietary processing results in this superior performance."

The RJ6S Vacuum Relay's design includes encapsulated coil, which provides the internal parts with greater protection, enabling the relay to perform in highly stressful applications, such as military and hazardous environments. Our high standard of quality includes robust testing in which the RJ6S Vacuum Relay is exposed to voltages as much as 30 to 40 percent above its rating. The RJ6S Vacuum Relay offers a service life of up to 25 million mechanical cycles.

For specific life cycle ratings, contact Jennings Technology Technical Support at (408) 282-0388.

Available in 12VDC, 26.5VDC and 115VDC coil voltages, the Jennings Technology RJ6S Vacuum Relay also features a floating internal shield and a low contact resistance at 0.020 ohms. It is also RoHS compliant and is manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility.
