Vacuum Grippers feature intelligent vacuum technology.

Press Release Summary:

Available in 6 models from 70 x 70 mm to 160 x 160 mm, Vacuum Grippers are suitable for packaging, wood, plastics and metal industries. Units provide consistently strong gripping force, regardless of material, size, shape, weight, and pickup position of workpiece. Vacuum required is provided by integrated ejectors using compressed air, following Venturi principle. With intelligent valve technology that leaves vacuum openings closed when not in use, vacuum remains constant at all times.

FIPA Vacuum Grippers: Consistently Strong Gripping Force for Any Material

Intelligent vacuum technology for the packaging, wood, plastics and metal industries

Six different standard models / Individual vacuum grippers can be designed quickly
A secure vacuum for any workpiece, whatever the surface structure and porosity: the vacuum grippers from FIPA Inc. (www.fipa.com), designed in six different basic models from 70 x 70 to 160 x 600 millimeters, provide consistently strong gripping force for automatic handling of a wide range of materials. "If our six standard models do not meet the specific needs of the customer, we can design customer-specific solutions quickly", FIPA President and Owner Rainer Mehrer guarantees.

Vacuum grippers save operating costs, time and space

Flexible, compatible, durable - these features characterize FIPA's new product. Whatever the material, size, shape, weight and pickup position of the workpiece, the vacuum grippers provide a consistently strong gripping force. The vacuum required is provided by integrated, high performance ejectors using compressed air, following the Venturi principle. External vacuum generators are available as an option, e.g. regenerative blowers.

The intelligent valve technology leaves vacuum openings that are not in use closed. This means that the vacuum remains constant at all times, compressed air consumption and therefore energy costs are reduced and the durability of the vacuum mats is increased significantly.

Another plus point: The dirt-resistant valve system guarantees a high level of system availability and process reliability.

High durability and extreme reliability also characterize the vacuum mats which are adapted to suit the valve system and the goods being handled. A special fastening system makes it possible to replace the mats quickly and without causing damage, whenever the need arises - even in pre-existing systems by other manufacturers. The vacuum grippers can be easily connected to the robot or handling system as a result of their compact and integrated design, saving space and avoiding the need for complex adjustment.

Individuality means a high level of flexibility

"We have stayed true to our philosophy in the design of the vacuum grippers. Whether standard components or individual solutions: we design all products according to the demands that arise from practical experience in individual industries and companies", says Rainer Mehrer.

Customer-specific adaptations are also available for the latest product from the material flow expert: From optional vacuum supply, through special vacuum mats, down to the development of individual vacuum grippers. Moreover, the vacuum grippers are, of course, compatible with other vacuum components from the modular FIPA system.
