tna Launches robag® 3 ttx

tna's robag® 3 ttx offers the highest economic value of any VFFS packaging system

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (October 2008) - tna, a leading supplier of turn-key, integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide, launches the robag® 3 ttx 320 rotary double jaw (RDJ) that doubles production rates.

Offering the highest economic value of any VFFS packaging system, the robag® 3 ttx, known as the "twin configuration" because it combines two VFFS machines in a compact footprint, lowers utility costs and waste while providing high performance packaging. Available in multiple combinations of tna jaw sizes and types, the highly flexible robag® 3 ttx can produce any type of bag format including pillow pack, quattro or block bottom, and inner and outer bag configurations.

Constructed for easy maintenance and service access, the servo driven design of robag® 3 ttx has 30 percent less moving parts than a conventional VFFS machine, driving down repair and maintenance requirements. Integrated electronics and hardware, a hallmark of tna equipment, further enhance the simplicity of operation.

The sophisticated simplicity of the robag® 3 ttx is evident in the user friendly digital settings and controls located on a central touch screen. The system integrates seamlessly upstream or downstream with other packaging equipment including tna's gateless, reversible transfer and distribution system, the roflo® 3, and other ancillary equipment.

The robag® 3 ttx 320 RDJ can also be paired with the trenza®, tna's newest innovation designed to create hanging strips for snack bags used predominately in stores in Asia and South America, and in niche markets across the globe. The trenza® attaches the hanging strip to the front face seal of the bag so that the front of the bag is on display when it reaches stores. Bags are removed with a simple downward pull with very little risk of damaging the product or any others on the strip.
