Based on VDSL2 technology, the SMC7824M/VSW switch provides data transfer speeds of up to 100Mbps (up and down) to support Internet-enabled applications for a single room using the one-port CPE (SMC7801A/VCP). For multiple in-room connections, the SMC7804AW/VCP supports multiple Ethernet-based appliances or nodes or a small number of rooms through four Ethernet ports and an integrated 802.11g wireless access point. The SMC7804AW/VCP provides increased installation flexibility to the installer and lowers the overall Total Cost of Ownership for the customer by not only enabling both wired and wireless in every room, but also eliminating the need for a second WiFi network. Easy to deploy, operate and manage via SNMP or a browser-based management interface, the new system has a plug-and-play capability ensuring easy installation and management by contracted or in-building IT personnel.
