NSW Supergrip V-Belts Help Material Handlers 'Get a Better Grip'

[Roanoke, VA] November 14, 2002 - NSW, LLC now offers durable, high-traction, Integral Supergrip Surface (ISGS) V-belts for a wide range of conveying applications. The belts feature a patented, co-extruded design that eliminates delamination of the supergrip surface from the thermoplastic V-belt. The co-extruded NSW design significantly extends the service life of the belt over standard supergrip belts with laminated grip surfaces.

The supergrip surface of the ISGS belts significantly increases the coefficient of friction, enabling superior conveying properties. This supergrip surface is of particular value where critical spacing of products is required, or where curved configurations, inclines, or declines are included in the production design.

NSW ISGS belts are available in both polyurethane and polyester constructions, with non-reinforced and polyester reinforced options. The end-user can choose from a broad range of belts to custom fit each application. From polyurethane belts providing greater flexibility and allowing smaller pulley diameters to polyester belts with reinforcement offering greater strength and limiting elongation.

In addition to these features and options, the NSW Supergrip belts offer greater abrasion resistance than traditional rubber belts and install easily and quickly, with on-site, butt-welded splicing. Specialized splicing tools are also available from NSW, including a patented tool design for reinforced belts. Quick installation techniques and longer service life from the NSW plastic belting enables the user to significantly reduce downtime and maintenance costs in any application.

NSW ISGS belts are used in a wide range of industries including glass, roofing tile, ceramics, metals, wood products, stone and precast concrete products, china and dinnerware, bottled products, processed foods, giftware, housewares. (Virtually any product application where a strong, durable, reliable grip surface conveying belt is an advantage in processing and handling.)

NSW ISGS V-belts can be shipped in full rolls for on-site splicing or spliced endless to any length at the factory. For complete information, samples and referral to an NSW Belting Products Distributor, contact NSW, LLC.
