Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) Introduces Tuff-Top Utility Pole Extensions
Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) has introduced its new Tuff-Top utility pole extensions, for unparalled strength and unmatched economy. Impervious to the elements, unable to rust, rot, or corrode in even the harshest environments, and unpalatable to insects and woodpeckers, the devices can extend the height of a utility pole by up to 20 feet quickly, durably, and economically.
The new product utilizes a section of the company's square composite Tuff-Pole®. The pole section is permanently bonded to a galvanized steel adjustable bracket which can be mounted on wood or composite poles. The customer specifies length up to 20 feet (standard: 54 inches), and can add arms, brackets, fixtures, and accessories to suit any application.
The new pole extensions are available in Standard, Heavy, and Extra Heavy Duty styles. Adjustable for 6" to 10" pole diameters (19" to 31" pole circumference), they bear a UV- and weather-resistant pigmented polyurethane coating in a palette of colors, like Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) Utility Tuff-Poles®.
The lightweight extensions are aesthetically pleasing, and provide unexcelled strength. During industry-standard engineering testing, the new Heavy Duty Tuff-Top Pole Extension withstood a 5,000 pound pull in Load Direction A and a 4,000 pound pull in Load Direction B.
Now a division of GenlyteThomas Group (Louisville, KY), Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) has since the 1950's pioneered the use of fiberglass reinforced composites in lighting and utility poles. The company is the world leader in fiberglass reinforced composite utility poles.

Would like more info on these reinforced fiberglass poles to be used to support an elevated deck about 14' above ground level. Any pictures and a color pallet would be nice to see. I need about 7-8 poles. I have 6" steel poles now that have rusted a both ends. Maybe extenders would be adequete. Your suggestions?
