SCRANTON, Pa., April 5, 2004 - To help make cutting work easier and safer, BAHCO North America has introduced a high-quality Utility Knife and Utility Blades that offer professional tool users maximum comfort, control, versatility and safety.
The new BAHCO® brand Utility Knife (product code #852000) is made of heavy-duty zinc castings, incorporating a rubber molded grip for durability, comfort and control. The 6-1/2" unit includes a number of features designed for maximum convenience, such as a large blade release knob that allows easy access for blade replacement and storage. A spring-loaded hinge lever on the bottom end of the knife allows for quick and controlled access to the blades, and keeps the knife halves from separating. The 3-position blade adjustment switch on the top of the knife allows for different blade point settings, depending on the work application needs.
BAHCO North America also offers the No-Point(TM) Utility Blade (product code #852010), which is designed to eliminate the tipped point commonly found in utility blade knives. The No-Point(TM) feature increases the safety of the blade by reducing the possibility of injury from the standard sharp blade point during work applications.
