Stanley® Proto® Utility Carts are available in 46 x 39 x 23 in. heavy-duty and 38 x 37 x 20 in. standard-duty models. Heavy duty model has lift lid with vinyl top that serves as 900 in² work surface when closed. Storage area includes two 2¾ in. deep drawers and one 6 in. deep drawer, both which open and close on 100 lb ball bearing slides. Standard duty model is basic 2-shelf cart with double-layer corner posts for strength, and split handle that allows for multiple gripping angles.

Stanley Proto Introduces New Utility Carts
Mobile storage units will find a place in many different industries
Conyers, GA, November 11, 2008 - New Stanley® Proto® Utility Carts will earn their keep wherever technicians have to move tools around a large area, whether it's an airport hangar or the floor of an assembly plant. The Utility Carts expand on Proto's 440 and 450 series tool storage programs.
The heavy-duty model (46 in. high, 39 in. long and 23 in. wide) is actually a cart, rolling toolbox, and workstation all rolled into one. It includes a lift lid with a rigid vinyl top that serves as a 900 square inch work surface when closed. Oil filled shocks ensure smooth operation when the lid is being opened and closed to access the tools within. The lid is attached to ball bearing slides, and can slide backward to reveal a two-tier tool storage compartment: a shallow upper shelf for wrenches and other hand tools, and a deep lower shelf for bulkier items. A row of slots on the side and at the rear of the compartment can secure long items including screwdrivers, socket extensions, and pry bars.
The storage area is completed by two 2 ¾ in. deep drawers and one deep 6 in. drawer, both of which open or close on 100 lb. ball bearing slides. The cart also has a fixed bottom shelf for storage of large or seldom used items. The drawers and the lid are locked by a single barrel lock at the front of the cart to keep valuable tools and parts protected when not in use.
The standard duty model (38 in. high, 37 in. long and 20 in. wide) is a basic 2-shelf utility cart. It includes double-layer corner posts for increased strength, and a split handle that allows for multiple gripping angles.
