With 4-in-1 formulation, DriTac SMC reduces time and labor associated with sealing concrete substrate or adding sound control membrane in preparation for glue-down hardwood flooring installation. Single-step system reduces moisture vapor transmission in concrete substrates from as high as 12 lb per ASTM 1869 and also allows up to 85% RH per ASTM 2179. Adhesive also forms sound control membrane, acts as crack suppressant, and bridges existing cracks in concrete substrates up to 1/8 in.

DriTac Unveils New Sound & Moisture Control Urethane Adhesive: DriTac SMC
For immediate release: DriTac Flooring Products has launched DriTac SMC, a new sound and moisture control urethane wood flooring adhesive. DriTac SMC is a one-component moisture cure urethane adhesive that offers major time and labor savings for the installation of hardwood flooring when a concrete moisture barrier or sound control membrane is required. Installers can now accomplish in one day, a task that normally takes two or more days to complete, dramatically increasing productivity.
Manufactured in the USA, DriTac SMC is a one-step system that is designed specifically to reduce the time and labor associated with sealing a concrete substrate, or adding a sound control membrane in preparation for a glue-down hardwood flooring installation, by combining all of the attributes of four different products in one four-gallon pail.

DriTac SMC reduces moisture vapor transmission in concrete substrates from as high as 12lbs per the ASTM 1869 Calcium Chloride Method Test. It also allows up to 85% Relative Humidity (RH), per the ASTM 2179 Relative Humidity Test. DriTac SMC forms an excellent sound control membrane and is a crack suppressant as well, bridging existing cracks in concrete substrates up to 1/8" (3 mm).
This sound and moisture control urethane adhesive is VOC compliant and helps contribute to LEED point qualifications. It contains no water, cleans easily when wet and provides a strong, permanent bond. DriTac SMC is approved for use with on-grade, or above-grade concrete substrates and plywood subfloors. This product was developed to be easy to spread and is approved to install the following hardwood flooring types: exotic multi-ply engineered plank wood, multi-ply engineered plank, acrylic impregnated multi-ply engineered plank, acrylic impregnated plain-back parquet, and plain-back parquet.
