January 30, 2002, NY, NY -- Wasabi Systems, Inc., the world's leading BSD company, announced today at Linux World a box set of NetBSD 1.5.2 Package Release for Desktops. The Package Release is a commercial distribution of the NetBSD operating system and application suite for desktop computing.
"In the past, NetBSD's chief barrier to entry in the desktop market has been the perceived lack of availability of applications," said Dave Damast of Wasabi Systems. "We've had many retailers call us to ask for a NetBSD package with bundled open source applications such as KDE and Gnome.
